About This Service
Change of ownership updates the current titleholder on the motor vehicle registration certificate. It is required when you purchase a pre-owned vehicle, complete vehicle finance, or receive a vehicle from a deceased estate. After change of ownership, you must register and license the vehicle within 21 days, or arrears and penalties apply.
Note: Categories covered: Bank to Private, Company to Company, Company to Private, Private to Company, Private to Private, and From Deceased Estate.
Documents Required
- Original green NaTIS RC1
- Buyer and seller ID copies
- Proof of address
- BRNC/proxy documents (for companies)
- Bank settlement letter (if financed)
- Roadworthy certificate (where required)
- NCO form
- RLV form
- Signed affidavit completed at our offices
